Mr. William (Will) R. Tyler, Sr., as a funeral director at a prior establishment, and having gained extensive skills, experiences, and an  appreciation of the needs and desires of the funeral service clientele, he, along with his wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Tyler, determined that the initial efforts of their newly formed company should be in the area of funeral services.

Since 1979, the current president and chief executive officer, Robert E. Tyler, has followed in the steps of his father, and predecessor, Willie Tyler, thus establishing another generation of funeral service and a family tradition.  Under his leadership, R. E. Tyler Funeral Home, Inc. has grown to become a vigorous and viable business.
